    Hello all and welcome to the June Producer’s Letter!

    Through these communications I’ve emphasized how we listen to the community and take your feedback seriously while planning the future of WAR. For the most part, the “P-Letter” (as I like to call it) is intended to be a short term look at the next version or two, giving you a look forward at the months to come. However, it’s very clear that there is a lot of desire to hear about long term planning. We hear these requests loud and clear, and it is our desire to give you a better sense of WAR’s long term plan by the end of summer. Our detractors like to make fun of us for “being really excited” and “itching to tell you about” some “really cool things” (yes, we read the snarky posts), and in this case we want to shout it from the rooftops…but not just yet.


    In the meantime, there is a lot going on right now! As you now know, we are working with GOA to transition the European community over to Bioware Mythic (Like the fancy new name? We’re still getting used to it ourselves). We’re overjoyed to welcome our European players and are looking forward to more direct interaction with them. For anybody who is curious about the details of the transition, please refer to the transition post and corresponding FAQs in French, English, and German. At the current time, to ensure that we’re not disrupting too much at once, the European players will be playing on mirrored servers of their current environment, simply hosted by Bioware Mythic at our facilities in Dortmund Germany. This consists of two English, two German, and one French server. We will, of course, continually monitor population levels and will consider server consolidations as necessary. If you have an opinion on that, whether you’re playing from North America, Europe, Taiwan, Tajikistan, or any one of the 200+ countries and territories that is currently playing Warhammer, feel free to hop on over to our forums and let us know.

    Speaking of the forums, I’d like to extend huge thanks to everyone who has come out and offered their suggestions for the game’s Loading Screen Tips. The selection process is underway and I’m personally very excited to take a look at the entries.

    And now…1.3.6.

    I’ve made previous mention of changes coming in this version, in particular talking about the appearance slots that are being added to armor. It is our desire that the players are empowered to have both the stats and look of their choice, without being relegated to whatever appearance we set, simply because of the associated power. A dev diary from Sean Bosshardt is on its way which will give more detail about how the system is intended to work.

    Recently, post city changes, we have been taking a long, hard look at ORVR. Given the significance of the feature and our intended changes, we are splitting up the development over two versions, beginning with 1.3.6. While these represent the less significant portion of the work, we believe that the impact on the game will be quite material, with the purpose and goal being to get people back into ORVR. That being said, there are some critical components to these changes to achieve those goals, which include, removal of VPs for PVE and Prior Tier, which will be reallocated to Objectives, Scenarios, and Skirmish. While players who have died recently and are respawning in the warcamp will still acquire zone capture rewards, the idle defenders of the mailboxes will not. Players who wish to receive RVR rewards must engage in some level of risk to receive them.

    There are many more tweaks to the RVR experience, which can be referenced in this in-development post by our RVR Design lead Mike Wyatt, but I want to highlight one more significant feature. With 1.3.6, we will be introducing a new feature, called Against All Odds, a rewards incentive program that will reward outnumbered armies within an RVR lake by offering a scaling bonus to experience, renown, and influence, up to 400% for the outnumbered realm. We think that with bonuses this high, you’ll see a lot more people willing to engage in all different types of ORVR, especially when the odds are stacked against them.

    Finally, I made brief mention in the last letter about incentivizing city armors. Along with our aesthetic changes to armor, we are also making a major addition to armor sets by adding an armor reforge system for Sovereign armor sets. Armor will continue to drop in the current fashion and at the same rates. However, we will be introducing merchants that contain alternate focuses for the Sovereign armor pieces. This means that if you play a DPS Shaman, you can get your normal drops, and go to this merchant to trade in your Sovereign heal chest for a Sovereign DPS chest. The cost of the new item will simply be the cost of the old one. This process includes a full re-itemization of the Sovereign armor sets.

    While players who have died recently and are respawning in the warcamp will still acquire zone capture rewards, the idle defenders of the mailboxes will not. Players who wish to receive RVR rewards must engage in some level of risk to receive them.

    Забавно конечно.
    Я зашел в игру, и тут лок через 5 мин в зоне, я ничего не получу, потому что надо быть еще задротнее, чтоб зайти раньше.
    Шляпой я вообще не помню, когда в последний раз кип брал в вб

    ну если ты вышел и убил кого-то в рвр зоне, ты уже повлиял на лок, значит будут тебе плюхи. =)

    We'd like to announce a couple upcoming changes for General Gameplay in v1.3.6. Please keep in mind that these are not patch notes and additional adjustments may be in the works.

    New User Interface option: Sticky Targeting. Enabling this option will prevent you from clearing your target(s) by clicking an empty location in the gamespace. (Developer Note(s): clears the offensive target first in the event that both an offensive and defensive target is selected.)


    Player health bars will now update correctly when receiving damage or heals. (Developer Note(s): this corrects an issue where health bars would "flicker or bounce" upon receiving a heal or damage.)

    We'd like to announce some upcoming changes for RvR in v1.3.6. As stated by Carrie Gouskos in a recent Producer's Letter, there are many upcoming changes for ORvR in the near future. While some of these changes do affect ORvR, they do not conclude the list by any means. We are vigilantly working on much larger improvements to be released in a later version.

    This is intended to open up discussion to the items announced in this thread. For other ideas and suggestions, please place them in the appropriate forum so this thread can remain on topic.


    ORvR: Victory Points for PVE and Prior Tier have been removed. New pool values are as follows:
    Tier 1
    Objectives: 40%
    Scenarios: 40%
    Skirmish: 20%
    Tiers 2 & 3

    Objectives: 45%
    Scenarios: 35%
    Skirmish: 20%
    Tier 4
    Objectives: 45%
    Scenarios: 30%
    Skirmish: 25%





    ORvR: Zone capture rewards will now only be awarded to players within the RvR lake or an associated Tier's Scenario. Players will remain eligible for rewards for 5 minutes after leaving the RvR lake or an associate's Tier's Scenario as long as the player is within the appropriate pairing.

    Against All Odds: in the event that an army is outnumbered within an RvR lake, members of the outnumbered army will receive a scaling bonus to Experience, Renown and Influence. This bonus becomes active on qualified players after being outnumbered by 20% or more. The bonus cannot surpass 400% and requires at least 6 players of each Realm to be present within the RvR lake. (Developer Note(s): this bonus is additive.)

    Scenarios: players with the "Quitter!" debuff will no longer suffer a penalty to Experience and Renown but will now be unable to queue for a Scenario until the "Quitter!" debuff has faded.

    Contested Cities: Players belonging to the Realm that lost Stage 3 will now always be properly disabled by the Routed ability.

    Contested Cities: Portals leading out of the Khorne War Quarters and Slaanesh Chambers no longer check for combat status. (Developer Note(s): YAY!)

    Contested Cities: Guards will no longer spawn at the six objectives within Altdorf and The Inevitable City. (Developer Note(s): this corrects an issue where Warlords could become stuck inside geometry.)

    Coming with the 1.3.6 patch are some exciting (and by no means small) changes to the Sovereign armor set. Sovereign is being split into 2 sets for each archetype, each with its own focus. You will now be able to choose how you want to itemize yourself depending on your playstyle without sacrificing item levels.



    The system works as follows:

    The existing Sovereign set (the pieces that already drop, and more importantly the pieces you may already have) will turn into the "Primary" set below. This requires nothing from you as the player and the first time you log in you'll notice that your Sovereign set has different stats and set bonuses.
    If your personal preference is to use the "Secondary" set, you'll be able to head to an NPC in the cities where you would trade a piece of the "Primary" set in for the equivalent slot of the "Secondary" set. This transaction is only a 1-way transaction.
    There are no restrictions on mixing and matching between the 2 versions of the sets, however their set bonuses are mutually exclusive (e.g. if you want the 5pc from the "Secondary" set, you need to be wearing 5 pieces from that set).


    We will slowly be rolling out in development posts for each of the archetypes as soon as possible. To start with, here is the new layout of the 2 Sovereign sets for Tanks.

    вообчем соверен будет состоять как бы из 2х сетов
    из вышеприведенного куска видно, что для танков - консервный и нагибаторский

    что бы получить бонусы с варианта сета - надо будут шмотки заточенные именно под этот вариант - т.е. 1 шмотка консервы+1шмотка нагибатора = 0 каких либо сетовых бонусов Cool

    Continuing onwards with our In Development posts for patch 1.3.6, here are several more Career adjustments for discussion. As always, we look forward to your constructive feedback!

    Shadow Warrior

    All abilities no longer have a minimum range.
    No Respite has been moved, and is now available with 7 points into the Path of Assault. Its effect has been redesigned, and it will now increase all damage that you deal to enemies within 45 feet.
    Charge Forth has been renamed Powerful Draw, and has been redesigned. This tactic will now increase the ranges of all Path of the Skirmisher abilities.
    Assault Stance will now also grant Melee Power and Melee Crit based on Ranged Power and Ranged Crit from items.

    Engineer

    All abilities no longer have a minimum range.
    Runes of Warding has been renamed Trench Fighting, and has been redesigned. This tactic will now increase all damage that you deal to enemies within 45 feet.

    Squig Herder

    All abilities no longer have a minimum range.
    Sneaky Stabbin has been redesigned, and it will now increase all damage that you deal to enemies within 45 feet.
    Squig Armor will now also grant Melee Power and Melee Crit based on Ranged Power and Ranged Crit from items.

    Magus

    Daemonic Contract has been moved, and is now available with 7 points into the Path of Daemonology. Its effect has been redesigned, and it will now increase all damage that you deal to enemies within 45 feet.

    Ranged Archetype

    Close Quarters has been redesigned. It will now cause your abilities to build up 50% faster when your enemy target is within feet 20 of you, and no longer has a penalty.
    Expert Skirmisher has been redesigned. It will now cause your abilities to build up 50% faster when your enemy target is within 20 feet of you, and no longer has a penalty.

    Ну наконец!
    Теперь: 1. ШВ сможет кайтить примерно также, как и сквиговод; 2. Теперь для мили-ШВ нет нужды собирать отдельный шмот. Пойдет тот же, что для ренджа.

    мне нужна хилерская атомная бомба, взрываешь её в толпе вражин, они тут же мрут и одновременно с этим лечатся сопартийцы. Что ещё про АМов в письме пишут?

    8 piece - 2m cooldown - For the next 10 seconds, your group can not be critically hit.

    (Secondary) Offensive Set

    8 piece - 2m cooldown - For the next 10 seconds, all of your abilities will build up 1 second faster.

    Melee Healers (Warrior Priest, Disciple)

    (Primary) Healing Set

    3 (RF/SE)/s

    7 piece - On Heal: 10% chance to recover 60 Soul Essence/Righteous Fury over 3 seconds.
    8 piece - 2m cooldown - For the next 10 seconds, your group can not be critically hit.

    (Secondary) Melee Set

    3 piece - 85 Str
    4 piece - 85 Wou

    7 piece - On Hit: 10% chance to recover 60 Action Points over 3 seconds
    8 piece - 2m cooldown - For the next 10 seconds, your autoattacks will heal your group for 200% of the damage dealt.

    Here's a quick update on some of the changes that we're currently considering. Please note that I don't have updates for either of the 8-piece bonuses at this time; we're currently examining them on their own. We'll have separate updates coming in the near future regarding those. As always, please do remember that, as an in-development feature, these are still subject to further change!

Just as all of the archetypes' sets have already had changes made from their original designs based on Core Tester feedback, we're continuing to discuss the issues that have been raised in this (and other) In Development threads as well. Based on these discussions, we're currently looking towards possibly making the following changes:

    6 piece - On Being Attacked: 10% chance to reduce all damage you take by 6% for 10s.
    7 piece - On Being Attacked: 10% chance to increase parry/block/disrupt/dodge by 10% for 10s.

    (Secondary) Offensive Set


    * WS - 134 (Ironbreaker, Knight, Black Guard, Black Orc)
    * Init - 134 (Swordmaster, Chosen)
    Tou - 116
    Wou - 106

    4 piece - 85 Wou

    This type of split isn't uncommon - for example, once we're able to get the Ranged DPS archetype posted, you'll note that "shooters" and "casters" have their very similar sets split to differentiate between those needing Ballistic Skill and those needing Intelligence. We agree that it's fairly reasonable to investigate possibly doing something similar here as well.

    Hey all,

    Coming with the 1.3.6 patch are some exciting (and by no means small) changes to the Sovereign armor set. Sovereign is being split into 2 sets for each archetype, each with its own focus. You will now be able to choose how you want to itemize yourself depending on your playstyle without sacrificing item levels.


    The system works as follows:

    The existing Sovereign set (the pieces that already drop, and more importantly the pieces you may already have) will turn into the "Primary" set below. This requires nothing from you as the player and the first time you log in you'll notice that your Sovereign set has different stats and set bonuses.
    If your personal preference is to use the "Secondary" set, you'll be able to head to an NPC in the cities where you would trade a piece of the "Primary" set in for the equivalent slot of the "Secondary" set. This transaction is only a 1-way transaction.
    There are no restrictions on mixing and matching between the 2 versions of the sets, however their set bonuses are mutually exclusive (e.g. if you want the 5pc from the "Secondary" set, you need to be wearing 5 pieces from that set).

    Here is the final new layout of the 2 Sovereign sets, this one focusing on Ranged careers.

    (Note: the 8 piece bonus is 20 feet from your target, and it has a 100 feet initial cast range on it.)

    We've now posted 1.3.6 changes for all Sovereign armor pieces, and we appreciate the feedback that you've been giving. It was clear to us that some of the major points of discussion revolved around the various 8-piece effects, and we've been discussing them extensively. We now have several updates to these abilities that we're ready to share, and to focus the discussion, I'll summarize them all in this thread.



    At the moment, we're looking at the following for 8-piece effects (but as always, please remember that these are still subject to further change if necessary):



    Tank archetype

    Defensive: Your group becomes immune to Stagger, Knockdown, Root, and Knockback effects for 5 seconds.
    Offensive: Nearby allies have their movement speed increased by 60% for 10 seconds.
    Melee DPS archetype

    Offensive: Nearby enemies immediately lose all of their Morale.
    Survivability: Your group becomes immune to Stagger, Knockdown, Root, and Knockback effects for 5 seconds.
    Healer archetype (magic)

    Healing: Your group cannot be critically hit for 10 seconds.
    Damaging: Your group's abilities cost no Action Points for 10 seconds.
    Healer archetype (melee)

    Healing: Your group cannot be critically hit for 10 seconds.
    Melee: For 10 seconds, your autoattacks will heal your group for 200% of the damage done.
    Ranged DPS archetype

    Offensive: Your target and enemies around them have their Action Point costs increased by 50% for 10 seconds.
    Survivability: Your group's abilities cost no Action Points for 10 seconds.

    как уже многим известно 1.3.6 стоит на буржуйских ПТСах
    намедни был проведен аудиофак (FAQ) с разрабами
    на граваргаб блоге выложена "стенограмма"

    из интересных моментов
    - "косвенное" подтверждение тому, что контентпатч со скайвенами будет (вопрос только когда Cool
    - новый 6х6 сценарий "Вечная цитадель" (то что видел на видео - непонятно... выбежали 12 человек туда где царьзанека пилять на 3м этапе - порубили друг-друга - конец ролика Cool
    - ну и "ноукоментс" относительно новых рас
